Sticker Booth

HTML CSS Javascript, GUI, illustration
Medium: Screen & Computer
Tool: HTML CSS Javascript, Adobe Illustrator
Date: December 2022

A sense of longing for the past is stirred by the memories of high school, particularly through the 'Purikura machine'. This popular machine was all the rage among students in East Asia during the early 2000s, providing them with a photo sticker booth where they could add personalized decorations and designs to their pictures on a screen before printing them out as stickers. This sense of emotion lead me to the initial idea of SNAP.

Goal
This 4 weeks long project involves a combination of graphic design illustrations and Javascript coding to create a delightful and amusing photo-taking website. This website allows users to take three to four pictures in one go, depending on their screen size. Its cute and humorous design makes it a fun and engaging platform for capturing images.

Challenge
This is the project to experiment and challenge myself to work on Javascript and CSS. The hardship I confronted was making the webcam to be reactive to the screen size and all the brushes to function without any error with the stickers.
Details
I created personalized brushes, employing emojis and colors, for the decorative phase of the project. By setting up a button event listener in JavaScript, users can now freely customize the photos they capture on the screen.
